Chase has been waiting anxiously for his birthday ever since I told him it was coming up back in January. I didn't realize that he was going to ask EVERY day if it was his birthday yet!! We took Chase bowling since his party wasn't until the weekend and he had tons of fun. We almost made it out of there without any incident, but on the last bowl, Chase ran up into the lane and slipped right onto his butt. It was a sad way to end the night, so good thing they had ski-ball to save the day!
I decided to make Chase a special cake this year for his birthday, and I think it turned out real well!
Grandpa's birthday was on the same day as Chase's party so he was the honorable mention.
Chase was walking around the house eating cake and when Brian asked him where he got it, he said that he was eating his birthday cake. We found this hole in the side! Braxton enjoyed tasting it too though...
Chase wanted Thomas train tracks and trains for this birthday, so he spends lots of his day here at my bedroom window playing. Our window is one of Chase's favorite places to play. We'll move toys back to his room and then he yells 'hey! where's my stuff!' and then sets everything right back up. We love it though.

Braxton is Mobile
Braxton has been eager to crawl ever since he started doing the 'wounded soldier' move several weeks ago. Last week, he got up on his hands and hasn't looked back. I can't keep this boy in one place for very long and he just keeps getting faster! He is just growing up so quick. Here is a video of his first crawl.

Playing in the Snow
Chase had been waiting for a big snow storm ever since we bought him boots, and he finally got his wish and was able to put on his snow suit and play in the snow.

Picture Tag
I got this off of a friend's blog. The instructions on this tag is to find your sixth picture folder and post your sixth picture with a description of what is happening in the picture.
This was the day of Chase's surgery at Primary Children's Hospital. He looks so cute in his hospital clothes and socks! It wasn't a serious procedure or anything, but I was so sad when they took him from me and walked away with him down the hallway. He was 15 months old there and now he is almost 3! It makes me sad that he is growing up so fast!
I tag all my family and friends to do this too.

Chase's new and exciting outing is to the library. We took him and picked out some Clifford books and Curious George books which are two of his favorite shows. Chase helped make his library book bag and showed it off in this photo along with his new Lightning McQueen pajamas.

NKOTB!
So my sisters, sister-in-law and I had the most awesome girls night out and went to the New Kids on the Block concert on Saturday! We even made shirts and wore fedora hats to show our love. It was SO much fun screaming all night for our favorite New Kid and singing along. Thanks to my sister Becca, she had already watched the concert from other cities on YouTube and knew about a certain part of the concert where New Kids perform 3 songs from a smaller stage in the middle of the floor. When we showed up, our seats were right in front of a small stage that was covered over, so we were way excited! When we saw security gathering, we ran over to the stage and beat the rush and got right in the front so when they got on stage we were able to grab their hands and scream like little girls! Woohoo Jordan and Donny!! And YES, I got to grab my favorite new kid Jordan's hand!!
Look how cute Chase looks in that hat!

Finally a Halloween Post
Here is Chase thinking that the pumpkin seeds are gross. I thought Chase would really like feeling all the gooey stuff inside of the pumpkin, but instead he just wanted me to do it.
Chase would hardly sit for this picture, he just wanted to blow out all the candles!
Braxton was a tiger...
Chase was Frankenstein...Brian even taught him how to walk like Frankenstein and it was so funny!
We all went over to the park by our house for a neighborhood Trick or Treat party and then went over to our old neighborhood so Chase and his cousins could go door to door.

Pumpkin Walk
We went to the pumpkin walk at the Benson Grist Mill last weekend and Chase had a fun time. Last year we took Chase, but it was the night of big windy storm so they closed early. He cried and cried at the front gate and it was so sad when we had to put him back in the car and head home. I was happy that he actually got to walk through the gate into pumpkin town this year.
Me and Chase in front of some strange monster chef house
Good thing Faythe was helping Chase in the maze because he actually got confused when she went ahead of him.
Chase kept looking underneath the sheet to see if there was a real kid underneath there
Braxton was happy but fell asleep real quick getting pushed around in the stroller

Chase and I made cupcakes together a couple of weeks ago and as I was getting him ready for bed, he disappeared. I found him minutes later in the kitchen eating cupcakes! He pulled the chair over and just helped himself. It was so funny, I loved it!
A Braxton shot
Braxton was sitting on Aunt Erin's lap and at one point her hair was laying against the side of his head and we had a funny idea to make him a wig. Doesn't he look so pretty!

Lagoon!
So it's been about 7 years since I've been to Lagoon, and it was so fun to go with my sister and her family and see our kids having such a good time. It was nice because we got there right when it opened so there weren't any lines for the first hour or so.
Here is Chase after eating his ice-cream cone. Look at the pieces on his shirt, Haha!
Brett and the kids trying to look sad that they are in jail...

The Zoo
We finally made it up to the zoo before the summer is over and Chase loved it! He is still talking about the big elephant that makes noise and the snake slide and of course the train. Braxton loved getting pushed around in the stroller and looking up at the trees so he was a happy camper the whole time.
Sweet Braxton
The leopard that wanted to eat me and Chase!
Can you go to the zoo and not take this shot?
The beloved snake slide
Chase being 'Tuck' from Wonder Pets
Chase and Dad and a rear view of an elephant
I liked that this monkey carried around a monkey doll. I wondered if she is lonely...

The Fair and More
All the family met up at the Salt Lake County Fair last weekend and Chase had the funnest time! He went to bed talking about the big slide and the roller coaster and that he touched a pig, and when he woke up the next day the fair was the first thing he started talking about. I love when Chase is excited and having fun.
Grandma bought Chase his own bag of cotton candy
I thought I could share my corn with Chase but he practically ate the whole thing!
The big yellow slide! (That's Chase and Brian out in front)
Chase and the pig
Chase and Jeffrey in the helicopter with Holly
Chase and Hayley having a good time in the cars
I love these pictures of the roller coaster. Faythe's face makes me laugh so hard!!
Chase and Braxton after bath time...so cute!
My sweet little guy just loves to be sitting up so he can look around. Here he is propped up on the couch.
This is Chase's new favorite hiding spot when he is playing hide and seek. I think Brian hid there under the stairs one time and now Chase thinks it is the greatest hiding place ever!
